Born in 1992, Shih-Hao Yang is the founder of Circus Gate. With a background in B-boying and hat juggling, he has performed at international festivals such as Young Stage (Switzerland), Circuba (Cuba), and the Shizuoka Street Art Festival (Japan). Known for his Asia’s Got Talent appearance, he now focuses on long-form circus works and Taiwan’s circus history.
In 2020, he launched Deconstructing the Physical Discourse of Circus Performers, and in 2021 led the site-specific Circus Park Project. His latest work After was supported by Taiwan’s National Culture and Arts Foundation and presented at three major national theatres in 2023.
